2021 Big East Transfer Portal, Vol. 2

6'11 Nick Ongenda has officially entered the transfer portal. Ongenda is the eighth player to leave the DePaul program this offseason; seven departed by way of transferring while 6'7 Romeo Weems has hired an agent and intends to play professionally. Ongenda brings the total number of Big East players to transfer out of the conference to thirty-three.

Ongenda appeared in seventeen out of nineteen games for the Blue Demons this past season, starting in four and averaging six points, four boards, and one block in 18 minutes per outing. With this move, DePaul is currently projected to have seven scholarship players for the 2021/2022 season. The loss of Ongenda hurts DePaul’s frontcourt depth tremendously as 6'8 freshman Kok Yat is the lone player listed taller than 6'6 as the roster currently stands.
