2021 Big East Transfer Portal, Vol. 6

Georgetown’s TJ Berger announced his transfer early yesterday morning after spending one season on the Hilltop. The total number of players who have left the Big East this offseason now sits at 37.

Berger, who was once committed to Penn, came to Georgetown with the reputation as a shooter. In limited minutes this past season as a true freshman, Berger was able to not only showcase his perimeter shooting capabilities, but his basketball IQ as well. While the decision to transfer makes sense, Berger will be missed due to his upside as a high IQ sharpshooter; this very reason gave Hoya fans hope that maybe Berger could carve out a role for himself sooner rather than later.

Goodbye sweet prince.
